It’s interesting to see how the whole world bows to just one small virus. I laugh! Why? Well, dark days are here but those who parade themselves as flood lights has gone to hide. Now the whole street is hopeless; the world groans and we are in obvious disarray.

Our kids will laugh at us when they go through the history books and find out how the midget cripple our giants. Didn’t we also wondered how the world lived without antibiotics. When people died in millions to harmful microbes and Penicillin (an invention which came just by accident) became the savior?

As advanced as some of these bully countries claim to be, just one small virus has taught them to stay at home. The so-called “greatest country in the world” closed her border even against her allies. Blame games are flying like missiles from countries to countries. When the giants of the world are feeling, the midgets should just commit suicide, right? No, times like this reminds us that the world really has no giant. The message of equality makes the best sense here, that one day, the whole world stands still and will listen to one (anyone whoever) who has the solution for it’s shortcoming. Let's rise, dear midgets. Let us rise for the last time as midgets and become that who slay what giants flee from.

This also reminds me of one thing. That the only safe place in this world is in The Word of God. Jesus already spoke about pestilence - Pestilence means a deadly and overwhelming disease that affects an entire community. In Matthew 24: 7 (KJV) Jesus said:  “For nation shall rise against nation and kingdom against kingdom, and there shall be famines and PESTILENCES and earthquakes in divers places.”; But surprising yet he said also in verse 8 (The Message): “This is nothing compared to what is coming.”.  Reading about this, I use to think of this as the problem of the third-world countries. But, we all know better now.

But should we be afraid? No, we need not fear! The Bible says in Psalm 91:1-16 (ESV): He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will abide in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say to the Lord, “My refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.” For he will deliver you from the snare of the fowler and from the deadly pestilence. He will cover you with his pinions, and under his wings you will find refuge; his faithfulness is a shield and buckler. You will not fear the terror of the night, nor the arrow that flies by day”.

What should we do then? The answer is the message Isaiah 60 which says : “Arise, shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the LORD rises upon you. 2See, darkness covers the earth and thick darkness is over the peoples, but the LORD rises upon you and his glory appears over you (Isaiah 60:1-2). This is time for the true sons of God to arise and be the light of the world in this dark days.

Selah!
